WHY SPADE FOR SEO
Search work measured in calls, not keyword counts
We have built and ranked websites since 1999. Our SEO clients are mostly law firms, practices and service businesses where one new client is worth thousands, so the number that matters is whether the phone rings. We track calls and forms back to the search that produced them and tell you plainly when something is not working.
Spade Design offers the highest quality available when it comes to web design and social media. This is an amazing group of people....they go above and beyond when it comes to getting the job done!

Search Engine Optimization
Rankings only matter if the right people call
A lot of SEO is sold as a monthly report full of rising lines. Impressions up, keywords tracked, backlinks built. Owners nod along and still cannot tell whether any of it brought in a client.
We start at the other end. Which searches do your best customers make right before they hire someone? Which of those can you realistically win, and how fast? Then we build the pages, profile and reputation to win them, and we measure the result in calls and form leads.
OUR APPROACH
How we think about SEO
Most SEO invoices describe activity. Rankings reports, keyword counts, backlinks acquired. None of that is the point. The point is whether more of the right people find you and call. We work backward from that.
What we actually do
Technical foundation
Before content matters, the site has to be crawlable, fast and correctly structured. Site architecture, internal linking, schema markup, page speed, clean titles and descriptions, and an XML sitemap that reflects reality. This is the part most agencies skip because it does not photograph well in a report.
Local search
For a business with customers in a specific place, the map results usually matter more than the blue links below them. That means a properly built Google Business Profile with the right categories, consistent name, address and phone across the web, review velocity rather than review count, and pages that genuinely speak to the areas you serve.
Content that answers real questions
Search engines reward pages that answer what someone actually asked. We write for the questions your customers ask before they buy, which is also the content your sales conversations already contain. Most businesses are sitting on it and never write it down.
Authority
Citations, industry directories, and the kind of links that come from doing something worth linking to. No purchased link schemes. They work until they do not, and the recovery costs more than the gain.
Search has changed, and it keeps changing
A growing share of searches now end in an AI summary rather than a click. That changes what wins. Clearly structured pages, direct answers near the top, real sources and named frameworks are what those systems quote. The comprehensive, genuinely useful version of a page is both the best defense and the best offense.
What we measure
Impressions and clicks from Search Console, rankings for the terms that actually produce work, and leads attributed to the page that generated them. Calls included, because in most of the industries we serve the phone is the conversion and untracked calls make everything else guesswork.
What we will tell you honestly
SEO is slow. Anything that produces results in two weeks usually produces a penalty in six months. Competitive markets take longer, and sometimes the right answer is that paid search should carry the load while the organic work compounds. We would rather say that up front than bill you for a year of hope.
How it fits together
SEO sits on top of the website, and it is part of the monthly growth layer that follows every launch and relaunch. It works best when the site was built for it rather than repaired into it.

WHAT MOVES RANKINGS
The work that changes results for local businesses
For a business that serves a specific area, four things decide most of who shows up on page one.
- A Google Business Profile built properly: Right categories, every service listed, service areas set correctly, real photos and regular posts. For local searches the map results often get more clicks than anything below them.
- Steady, recent reviews: Google weighs recent reviews more than old ones. A few every month, naming the service and the area, beat a pile from three years ago. We automate the asking.
- Pages for the services and places you serve: One page per service and per area you actually work, each saying something specific and true, rather than one page trying to rank for everything.
- A technically healthy site: Fast, crawlable, structured with schema and consistent business details across the web. When competitors are close on content, this is often what decides it.
Local SEO in the cities we know best
We run local search for businesses in Dallas, Tyler, New Orleans, Houston and Baton Rouge, plus clients nationwide. Each market behaves differently. Dallas is really a dozen suburbs with their own map results. Tyler rewards whoever does the work first. New Orleans has two audiences, locals and visitors. The plan changes with the market.

I have worked with Spade Design on multiple occasions in the past. They have always been fast to complete the work I requested of them and they are always giving great incite on things I don’t even use them for. I would give 6 stars if I could.
