“How much does a new website cost?”

It is the first question every business owner asks. It is a fair question. You have a budget, you have a P&L to manage, and you need numbers.

But at Spade Design, this is the one question we will not answer immediately.

In fact, if you find an agency that does answer this question within five minutes of meeting you, you should run.

Why? Because asking “How much for a website?” is exactly like walking into a doctor’s office, pointing at your stomach, and asking, “How much to fix this pain?”

Here are three common “tumors” we find during our Digital MRIs that clients didn’t know they had:

1. The “Ghost” Conversion Killer

We audited a client who swore their marketing wasn’t working. “We get traffic,” they said, “but nobody contacts us.” The Audit Finding: We tested their contact forms on 20 different devices. On one specific version of the iPhone, the “Submit” button was unclickable because an invisible layer of code was overlapping it. The Fix: A 10-minute code adjustment.
